Welcome to Duplo! These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Duplo, a digital bookshelf service provided by Shoshin Kaizen LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using Duplo, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the service.
Duplo allows users to upload highlights and notes from e-reader devices like Kindle or Kobo and visually display their books. Users can search and browse through their uploaded content. The service is free to use, but premium features are available for a monthly subscription fee.
Users who subscribe to our premium plan gain access to premium features, including but not limited to: changing the cover images of books in their digital bookshelf, and AI-powered book recommendations with a monthly credit allowance.
AI Recommendations disclaimer: AI-generated recommendations are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. They are produced by third-party AI models and may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the quality, relevance, or availability of any recommended titles. Recommendations do not constitute professional advice of any kind.
Upon cancellation: If your premium subscription is canceled, you will retain access to your bookshelf, any previously changed cover images, and any previously generated AI recommendations. However, you will no longer be able to change additional cover images or generate new AI recommendations.
To use Duplo, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details and for all activities under your account.
By using Duplo, you agree:
All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property related to Duplo are owned by us or licensed by third parties. You are granted a limited license to use Duplo in accordance with these Terms but may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in any unlawful activity while using Duplo. Upon termination, you will lose access to premium features but retain access to your basic bookshelf.
Payments for premium subscriptions are processed via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. No refunds or credits will be issued for partial months, unused credits, or AI recommendation generations that did not meet your expectations. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but access to premium features will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.
We provide Duplo "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of Duplo, including loss of data or interruptions in service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. If changes occur, we will notify users through email or an announcement on our website. Continued use of Duplo after changes have been made constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware.
